Study on Temporal and Spatial Variation in Soil Temperature in Artificial Ground Freezing of Subway Cross Passage

Temperature is the fundamental variable used in artificial ground freezing (AGF) design to assess frozen curtain’s state and carry out an analysis of its mechanical behavior. Therefore, it important appropriately understand temperature variation soil during thawing throughout construction process AGF. In this paper, a physical model was established obtain one-dimensional distribution curve field with temporal, which can be explore characteristics AGF, so as scientifically evaluate reduce risk. The divided into three zones namely zone, fringe, unfrozen zone. Additionally, Hangzhou muddy silty clay selected for indoor test verify correctness analytical model. results show following: (1) Due influence latent heat phase change, on both sides fringe are not same. It appropriate use same index judge whether or thawed project. (2) For clay, −1 °C, 0.9 °C. research provide some guidance judgment AGF subway cross passages.
